This piece has a grafted Olive Tree surrounded by two of Israel's national flowers: left is Rakefet (Cyclamen), and right is Kalaniyot (Anemone). Rakefet is so hardy it grows wild, right out of the rocks; with too much care, the plant dies. Kalaniyot carpet much of Israel in Spring and have been protected by law; songs are even sung about them.
